Lootfinder is built on a community of treasure hunters helping each other discover opportunities. These guidelines ensure our community remains helpful, honest, and respectful for everyone.

1. "I Got Paid!" Posts

Sharing your success stories helps the community know which opportunities are legitimate and paying out. To maintain trust, we have strict rules for these posts:

Required

• Be truthful: Only post about payments you actually received
• Be accurate: Report the correct settlement name, amount, and approximate date
• Proof encouraged: Screenshots of payment confirmations add credibility (redact personal info)

Prohibited

• Fake posts: Fabricating payments you didn't receive
• Fake screenshots: Doctored or manipulated images
• Misleading amounts: Exaggerating payment amounts
• Stolen content: Posting someone else's payment proof as your own

2. Comments and Discussions

Healthy discussion helps everyone. Here's how to keep conversations productive:

Encouraged

• Asking questions about settlements or claims
• Sharing tips and helpful information
• Reporting your experience with claim processes
• Providing timeline updates (when you filed, when you got paid)
• Constructive feedback and suggestions

Not Allowed

• Spam: Repetitive posts, excessive self-promotion, or irrelevant links
• Harassment: Personal attacks, threats, bullying, or targeted negativity
• Hate speech: Discrimination based on race, gender, religion, sexuality, or any protected characteristic
• Profanity: Excessive swearing or vulgar language
• Off-topic content: Posts unrelated to settlements, recalls, unclaimed property, or financial opportunities
• Misinformation: Deliberately spreading false information about settlements

3. User Submissions

If you submit tips about new settlements, recalls, or opportunities, please ensure:

• Accuracy: Information should be factual and verifiable
• Legitimate sources: Link to official claim sites, court documents, or reputable news sources
• Complete information: Include relevant details like deadlines, eligibility requirements, and claim links when possible
• No scams: Never submit fake settlements, phishing sites, or fraudulent opportunities

4. Tipping Etiquette

Lootfinder allows users to tip others who share valuable information. Guidelines for tipping:

For Tippers

• Tipping is completely voluntary — never feel obligated
• Tip to show appreciation for genuinely helpful content
• Consider tipping users who helped you discover a successful claim

For Recipients

• Don't beg or repeatedly ask for tips
• Don't create content solely to solicit tips
• Be gracious and continue contributing quality content

Not Allowed

• Demanding tips in exchange for information
• Creating fake content to generate tips
• Using tips to manipulate or bribe other users
• Tip fraud of any kind

5. Privacy and Personal Information

Protect yourself and others:

• Your info: Don't share sensitive personal information (full address, SSN, financial account numbers) in public posts
• Others' info: Never share another person's private information without consent
• Screenshots: Always redact personal details (name, email, address, account numbers) before posting payment screenshots
• Doxxing: Posting someone's private information to harass them is strictly prohibited

6. No Fraud Promotion

Lootfinder is for legitimate opportunities only:

• Never encourage filing false or fraudulent claims
• Don't share methods to game or cheat claim systems
• Don't promote identity theft or using others' information
• Report any suspicious schemes or potential scams

7. Advertising and Self-Promotion

• No unauthorized advertising or marketing
• No promoting competing services or apps
• No affiliate links or referral codes (unless specifically authorized)
• No soliciting users for external products or services

8. Reporting Violations

Help us maintain community standards:

• Use the report feature to flag content that violates these guidelines
• Provide context when reporting to help us understand the issue
• Don't abuse the report system for personal disputes
• Contact support@lootfinder.xyz for serious concerns

We reserve the right to enforce these guidelines at our discretion:

If you believe an enforcement action was made in error:

• Contact support@lootfinder.xyz with "Appeal" in the subject line
• Explain why you believe the action was incorrect
• Provide any relevant context or evidence
• Appeals are reviewed within 7 business days

Our decisions on appeals are final.

11. Changes to Guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines as our community grows and evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use of Lootfinder after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated guidelines.
